The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Gameplay Game play is pretty straight forward and smooth. Do note that I have the game for the Xbox 360, which unlike the other Elder Scrolls games in the series, the game was made to be played on a console.
The GUI reminds me a lot of FPS games like BioShock or even Halo, just because it is geared to look like a FPS game when you are in First Person. In Third Person, I find it hard to actually aim due to your character's body being in the way of the cross hairs on the screen and also being almost in the middle of the screen. Overall, I find a lot of the game play to be well thought out but not 100% put together properly. Rating: 8/10 |
Story line Absolutely great story line. But which one exactly? There is so much story in this game, it's bleeding out of the cover before you unwrap the plastic off it. I don't want to ruin the story at all so really all I can say is that each story arch that you go through has so much detail and it's very well thought out.
I do fear though that it could be too sandbox-y with the story line but really, it works for this game. You can go straight through the story line if you like or you can completely avoid it and still get a feel for what is going on in the world. Rating: 10/10 |
