So I haven't done much for MOBAfireTV. I loved doing what I did for them but it took away time from everything I wanted to do and I really didn't get much from it. When I left, the team wasn't really that strong and I didn't expect for them to get much further off the ground. I don't mean that in a bad way, I just didn't see much strength within the team and no strong ideas being created.
What did I do for MOBAfireTV? Well, I have all the videos I was a part of in the MOBAfireTV tab. I started out as a voice over person for their videos and than was asked to create a 'video series', which was the MOBAfireTV champion guides. I even suggested that we needed to sponsor streamers or do some sort of streaming through Twitch. After getting the videos off the ground, I was 'promoted' to Assistant Video Manager. Now... I did everything without any pay. Why? I was expecting it to be a great place to get my name out there into the LoL/MOBA community. After being promoted, I still didn't get any form of payment. I didn't expect it. Basically the 'job title' was like getting a supervisor position at a fastfood chain - Pretty Title for no 'extra' pay. So be it. I stopped doing the videos because I needed to focus on my actual job, the one that did pay the bills. After I left, everything they started to do I was completely against.
Now to the main point of what this post is about. According to what I have heard, and this might be old news to everyone, but they apparently created some sort of 'scam' with their new stream. From what I have researched, they embedded their stream onto every page of their website at 1x1 resolution and muted so that they could stack up viewers and ads. That might not be the 'exact' thing that they are being 'accused' of doing. I truly have no clue if this is the truth. If it is, I don't even want to put the videos that I was a part of on my website. I am 100% proud with my videos but trash 'moves' like that make those videos look like nothing. What they are being accused for is completely against everything I am about and it is against the agreement you make with Twitch to even start streaming. But again, I can't find any conclusive evidence besides that the stream isn't up anymore.
Would I work with MOBAfireTV again? I am not sure. Again, I loved participating in making the videos and I would love to do something like that agian, but with MOBAfire, I am not sure. Maybe if I was paid, but truly, why would they pay me? I'm just another Joe in Silver League (as of right now). I don't want to completely say no to that question, but I don't want to have anyone think that I would definitely jump on the wagon again.
To the people who are still a part of the MOBAfireTV team that are reading this. Don't take offense from this post. This is all from my prospective and not being an active member of the team makes my vision a little blurred. I think that you all do a great job and should stick to it.
